Great success for the Tirol KTM Cycling Team at the Giro Valle d`Aosta: Georg Steinhauser (19) wins the third stage solo with over three minutes ahead of his pursuers and celebrates the greatest success of his still young career. The strong performance of the team is rounded off with a fifth place for Florian Lipowitz in the overall standings. On the king’s stage over 158 kilometers and 4,500 meters in altitude! Lipowitz was third, Felix Engelhardt finished eleventh. And because all of the riders – Florian Lipowitz, Georg Steinhauser, Felix Engelhardt, Logan Mclain and Kevin Rosola – have done so well, the team won superiorly the overall team classification. Along with the Giro d`Italia U23 and the Tour de l`Avenir, this stage race in the Italian Aosta Valley is one of the most important tours for U23 riders.
