It is one of those great Italian U23 classics, the GP Poggiana, in the wonderfully hilly landscape between Basano and Treviso. Very difficult, technically demanding and internationally top manned. 170 starters, but only 44 made it to the finish line. Matevz Govekar, our fast man from Slovenia, went in an early breakaway, mastered the difficult climbs like a climber and sprinted out of a group of thirteen, with victory under his nose, to the fifth place. Its shape fits for the Tour de l`Avenir. Florian Lipowitz (also his last test before the Tour de l`Avenir) and Logan Mclain crossed the finish line in the second group.
