Ice cold temperatures around freezing point. Light snow. And yet yesterday’s season opener at the traditional opening race in Leonding (Upper Austria) warmed the mood in the Tirol KTM Cycling Team, which, with an average age of 19, is once again the youngest elite team in the Bundesliga. Logan Mclain initiated the decisive escape group of the day: 11 drivers, from practically all teams, and also with Florian Lipowitz. Lipowitz then once again left his great talent in the two rounds of shooting over the short but crisp Aichberg and was strong fifth in the sprint of the strongly decimated escape group. With this placement he is also the first leader in the U23 classification.
