It finally worked out for Marco Schrettl! He has often been one of the strongest riders in the field in recent races, but has never been able to cap off his dominance with a top-of-the-roster finish. Now it finally worked out. And with a stellar performance, too. With a 30-kilometer solo ride and a convincing team performance – including Ben Eckerstorfer, Trym Brennsaeter, Mattie Dodd, Nicola Ginter, and David Paumann – he won the traditional and internationally strong Italian U23 classic GP San Vendemiano.
